The U.S. in World War II

American soldiers approach Omaha Beach in a Higgins Boat on D-Day.

February 1, 2012

Today we will begin covering the material in chapter 24 (The United States in World War II). We will be going back to Cornell Notes to cover most of this chapter. Today we will cover the main battles. Thursday and Friday we will cover the Holocaust (briefly) and the American Homefront during the War. If we make good progress, we will plan on having the test next Wednesday.

Here are the Cornell Notes for today: US in WWII Cornell Notes  We will not be covering Sec. 3 (on the War in the Pacific) in class. You will be responsible for reading it and completing the Cornell Notes on your own. I will announce when these are due on SpringBoard (based on how long it takes us to discuss this material in class).
